Saurornitholestes langstoni is known from the Campanian of the Late Cretaceous in North America. It is pictured here hunting at twilight in a moist forest environment; Conifer wood (Pinicae) ginkgo and angiosperm leaf debris litters the ground. Archaeanthus, a magnolia relative, and poppy seed cases are known from contemporary North American sediment.
This Illustration was prepared in 1996, and Saurornitholestes has since been recognised as possessing a feather integument.
